DanaDynamics have designed and developed an eletric powered maritime drone platform, the ASV-S. The ASV-S platform is developed with the scope of performing unmanned hydrographic surveys in habours and shallow water areas. The ASV-S is operated and monitored from a controlcenter placed on shore.
The navigation and control system called Skipper operates at basic autonomous level, currently with sensor input from AIS, Lidar, Radar and seamap data.
The objective of enhanced autonomous navigation project is to build the next system generation where AI driven image recognition feeds the situation awareness system with the scope of implementing basic navigation algorithms to comply with COLREG navigation rules.
